Thermography

What is Thermography?

Each body is at a temperature above absolute zero (-273,15 Celsius) emits infrared radiation heat . Thermography is the science of analyzing thermal data collected by special thermal cameras, which detect thermal radiation and reflect on radiometric images. By Thermography is not measured directly, the temperature of a surface, but the change of surface infrared radiation. So problems in lower layers of a material, create local differences in surface temperature caused by different degrees of thermal distribution in zones of imperfections. Nowadays, the science of thermography because of the success it has is widely used in industry, buildings and residential applications in marine and in many other applications where thermal patterns can be used to solve various problems.

Why is thermography so successful?

1 ) No need to come into contact with the inspected equipment – remote diagnosis.

The user is at no risk

It does not affect the normal operation of the inspected object.

2 ) The analysis is made in two dimensions:

It is possible to compare different regions of the target

The image allows for complete analysis of the inspected target.

Thermal patterns can be visualized and used for analysis

3) The inspection is done real-time:

Allows quick analysis consistent targets

Permit inspection of moving objects

Detects in real time the changing thermal patterns.

Since thermography is one of the key ¨ Non Destructive Testing ¨, with many uses in everyday life, combined with the necessary credentials and experience available to InfraSpec Engineering, we have developed a range of services that can help you in solving many everyday problems.
